This article explores what it means to be in perpetual discovery: the how and the why of being in this state. You’ll be introduced to a short story of a man who was stopped by fear: it had perpetuated for over 30 years. Also, introduced are a few strength-tested ideas to get started on this new journey, combined with some ways to help you get you in action.

It seems that when fear falls away the most important aspects of our exploring uncover.
The story that Illustrates the Power of Discovery
Here’s a recent story that demonstrates this for you. A 57 year trained for a year to run a 100-mile race and during the 68th mile became overwhelmed by fear wanting to stop. With only a minute to make it to the next breakpoint, his team spurred him on to reach the mark – he was conflicted but made it and eventually finished the race. A few days later, he began to realize that the underlying fear that had almost stopped him had been with him for over 30 years; he was completely free of it. He felt like a new man.
You may not have to hit the wall in the way this person experienced his epiphany, but keep at the discovery and share with us your stories so others can see how you accomplished your journey.
New Definition
We call this exploring concept a belief, and we have named ours Perpetual Discovery with an expected outcome of learning. This belief contains a series of choices and actions, all designed around the idea that something will be revealed to us personally. The experience of it will produce manifested faith in learning.

The science world explains how they test and measure their experiments to reveal the truth. One doesn’t necessarily have to use scientific instruments to measure your results – our CAM Awareness Scale will help you with the intangibles, without going into the laboratory. You will observe over time the certainty that this measuring will reveal.
The What of it
The importance of being open and willing to explore and discover things is elementary. To help set yourself up for the condition of being open, one could benefit from reading about Guiding Principles.
We strongly suggest that you tackle opposing views seeking their truths, those which tend to spark your emotions because you find the arguments so appalling against your sense of purpose or beliefs. You may find that in the reading of their cases, you’ll gain understanding and awareness that otherwise would have alluded you. We further suggest you push aside your previously held views by holding your judgments, accept what you find as new insights, then after analyzing the arguments for the other position, spot the aligning items and those who don’t.
Also, try out different subjects and topics like history, art, science, math, numerology, literature, fashion, music, etc. by going to the bookstore or library to pick up a few books of these varying subjects and start reading. Make notes about comes up for you in your journals. Form conversations with people that hold opposing views asking questions and listening to their positions to gain greater insights.Take a college course by auditing it just to learn.The what of this process will expose you to new ideas.
The Why of It
A counter-argument could be "Why not"? We think you could probably make a list of the top 10 reasons for both sides. But, why spend time exploring and discovering when our time seems so valuable? If the destination is learning, the journey is uncovering what currently seems far away from you, so bring it closer. While we have suggested reading, attending classes, and having conversations, expand this discovery to tasting, smelling, seeing, and feeling the subjects and topics. Get immersed..
