Striving for Excellence

Striving for Excellence

This article is a short one about making an effort to be in practice with your on-purpose living experience. A few definitions are present.

Background

When we are consistent with our efforts toward excellence, we can say that we are striving: we refer to people who strive as aspirants.

Can You Measure It?

We believe you can measure excellence and we posit one very effective method using our own standard of measure as a simple and easy example for both tangible and intangibles – see CAM Awareness Scale and Excellence.

First off, you must establish a result that you want to attain before striving toward it – to reach your excellence – we call this result a belief.

There are some easy ways to accomplish defining your belief (e.g. start your learning process in defining beliefs by attending our new Getting On-Purpose webinar).

Practicing Produces Excellence

Practicing produces excellence…

Practicing produces excellence…

Remember that one of the most critical characteristics of reaching your result is practicing the choices and actions associated with your result/belief. In essence, these will produce your results, along with moving you closer to excellence.

The more you practice, the more you become aware of what’s occurring, what you’re experiencing, and the understanding helps you to get there.

If we make this all sound simple – it is.

There is a universal belief that things of great value should be effort-based and challenging to accomplish. We don’t disagree with challenging ideas, but we also suggest that things sometimes get too complicated: we need to make them more simple. Hey, we’re not climbing Mount Everest right now for this discussion.

(Wisdom Sidebar) For most of us, we have been buried in multiple layers of beliefs, usually taking them on with little knowledge about them or understanding what they produce in our lives. By the way, beliefs create all kinds of results: some positive some negative. Without knowing which ones, you may gain results you may not want.

But, now is your chance to design what you genuinely love doing and want in your life.
